About Amy

Amy Spivey, a native of Western North Carolina, is deeply rooted in the mountains as a seventh-generation resident. Although she has lived in various beautiful locations in NC and FL, she always came back to the mountains. She graduated suma cum laude from Tuscola High School and Western Carolina University.

Since 2004, Amy has been a full-time Broker serving Haywood County and the surrounding area. With her experience and service, she has handled hundreds of transactions representing both buyers and sellers. She has the knowledge and expertise to navigate even the most complicated real estate transactions and goes the extra mile to ensure successful closings. Her peers have recognized her efforts and twice selected her as Realtor of the Year, and she has been a Best of Haywood/Realtor finalist. She holds the ECO, GREEN, and SFR designations. Amy believes that being a Broker is a helping profession, where she listens to other's wants and needs, and facilitates the buying or selling of their homes or land. It is very satisfying for her to help others attain their dreams.

Community service is also of utmost importance to Amy. Before becoming a Realtor, she worked in the non-profit sector, specializing in at-risk youth for programs like Project Challenge NC and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She enjoys giving back to the community through volunteer service and is active on numerous boards. She is a founding member of PlottFest, a heritage festival celebrating mountain music and culture, which raised $100,000 for Head Start of Haywood and Jackson County. She serves on the Fund for Haywood County, is chair of the Canopy Housing Foundation Western Region, and chairperson of the board for Project Challenge NC.

Amy, along with her husband Tarver and son Henry, enjoys outdoor activities like camping, skiing, and backpacking. She also enjoys designing jewelry as a creative outlet and has been learning the art of silversmithing. She has a special love for bluegrass music and mountain dance. The Spiveys live on a working farm in the beautiful Fines Creek Community.
